Excel Unprotect Tool is a free online service that helps you remove worksheet protection and workbook protection from Excel files (.xlsx/.xlsm).
No installation required. No registration needed. No data is stored. Your files are processed securely and deleted automatically.
How It Works
.xlsx and .xlsm files are ZIP archives containing XML files. Protection is stored in <sheetProtection> / <workbookProtection> tags. Removing these tags removes the protection while leaving the rest of the file intact.
